Back to report the solution to all the errors that occurred using OJ
under Fedora Core 6

Fedora comes with a pre-installed OS JAVA.
So the original openjump-unix.sh calls OS Java.

Here's the solution (with Sun's JDK 1.6 installed)

# You may need to uncomment the next three lines on some linux systems
(Fedora?)

# replace the next line with the correct location for your OJ's install
folder...

# The next lines are required in any case
